Pluck Recipe App · Account Deletion Instructions
You can delete your Pluck account and all associated data at any time from within the app. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open the Pluck app on your device
- Go to Settings (tap the gear icon in the bottom navigation)
- Tap Privacy
- Tap Delete My Account
- Type DELETE to confirm (for signed-in accounts)
- Your account and all data will be queued for deletion
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Profile data - display name, avatar, email address
- All recipes - including ingredients, instructions, tags, and notes
- Recipe images - all photos stored with your recipes
- AI conversations - all cooking assistant chat history
- Consent preferences - your privacy and tracking choices
- Notification settings - push notification preferences and tokens
- Usage records - any usage tracking data
- Authentication record - your sign-in credentials and sessions
What Is Retained
For legal compliance purposes, the following is retained in anonymized form:
- Consent audit log entries - timestamps and details of your consent changes are kept with your user ID removed (set to null), as required by GDPR for demonstrating lawful data processing
Deletion Timeline
All personal data is deleted within 24 hours of your request. This includes data stored in our database, file storage, and third-party services (analytics and error tracking platforms).
Guest Accounts
If you are using Pluck as a guest (without signing in with Google or Apple), you can still delete your account using the same steps above. Guest accounts that are inactive for 30 days are also automatically deleted along with all associated data.
