Save Recipes from Instagram, TikTok & YouTube
Paste any link, upload a photo, or share a video. Pluck uses AI to extract ingredients and instructions into your personal recipe box.
How it works
Share or paste a link
Share directly from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, or any food blog — or paste a URL. Pluck handles the rest.
AI extracts the recipe
Our AI reads pages, watches videos, listens to audio, and scans images to pull out ingredients, instructions, and metadata.
Plan, shop and cook
Your recipe box, organized and searchable. Add recipes to your weekly meal plan, build one grocery list sorted by aisle and share it with your household, and cook step by step in cook mode.
Extract recipes from any source
Paste a URL, share a video, or upload a photo. Pluck supports all the places you find recipes.
Why Pluck?
AI-Powered Accuracy
Not a simple web scraper. Pluck's AI watches the video, listens to the narration, reads on-screen text and captions, turns photo carousels into one recipe, and reads cookbook pages and handwriting. Long videos keep processing in the background and you get a notification when the recipe is ready.
Your Personal Recipe Box
Search, tag, and sort recipes into groups, all available offline. Type what's in your fridge, or snap a photo of it, and "What can I cook?" finds the saved recipes you can make. Moving from Paprika, Mela, Crouton or CopyMeThat? Import your recipes in one go.
Cook Mode and an AI Cooking Assistant
Cook mode shows one step at a time in large text, with the ingredients for that step and timers you start from it. On paid plans, ask the AI cooking assistant about the step you're on, for substitutions, scaling or technique. It knows your recipe.
Privacy First
Your recipes are yours. No ads, no data selling, no tracking without your consent. GDPR and CCPA compliant from day one. Learn more.
Five AI extraction modes
Many recipe apps read a post's caption, and some also transcribe the audio. Pluck combines five AI modes, so a recipe that's only spoken or only shown on screen still ends up in your recipe box.
Video Frame Analysis
AI watches cooking videos frame by frame, identifying ingredients, quantities, and techniques shown on screen.
Audio Transcription
Listens to narration and spoken instructions, capturing recipes that are never written down.
On-Screen Text (OCR)
Reads text overlays, ingredient lists, and temperatures displayed in video frames.
Caption & Subtitle Parsing
Parses post captions, video descriptions, and subtitles as supplementary data sources.
Image & Photo Extraction
Reads recipe cards, cookbook pages, and handwritten notes. Snap a photo of a finished dish and Pluck generates a best-guess recipe from the image alone.

Why do paid plans exist at all? Fair question. Clipping a recipe from a web page is cheap to run. Pluck watches videos, listens to audio, reads images, and parses captions using five AI extraction modes, and that AI processing costs real money per recipe. The free plan covers 3 extractions a month plus the meal plan, grocery lists, cook mode and "What can I cook?". Paid plans start at $2.99/month. Try the free tier and decide for yourself.

Frequently asked questions
How do I save a recipe from Instagram?
Tap share on any Instagram post or Reel and choose Pluck, or copy the URL and paste it in the app. Our AI reads the caption, image, and any recipe content to extract a structured recipe with ingredients and instructions — no screenshots needed. Learn more about Instagram recipe saving.
Can Pluck extract recipes from TikTok videos?
Yes! Share a TikTok directly to Pluck from the share menu, or paste the URL. Pluck's AI watches the video, listens to the audio, and reads the description to extract the full recipe. It works even when the recipe is only spoken or shown on screen. Learn more about TikTok recipe saving.
Can Pluck save recipes from Facebook?
Yes! Share a Facebook post, Reel, or group link directly to Pluck, or paste the URL. Pluck extracts the recipe from text and video posts alike — it watches the video and gives you written ingredients and instructions. Learn more about Facebook recipe saving.
Does Pluck work with food blogs and websites?
Absolutely. Pluck works with any URL that contains recipe content — food blogs, YouTube descriptions, news articles, and more. It even detects structured recipe data (JSON-LD) for extra accuracy. Learn more about web recipe extraction.
Can I save recipes from photos?
Yes. Take a photo of a recipe card, cookbook page, or handwritten recipe and upload it. Or snap a photo of a finished dish — Pluck identifies what it is and generates a best-guess recipe. Learn more about photo recipe extraction.
Is Pluck free?
Pluck is free with 3 recipe extractions per month and up to 10 saved recipes. Light ($2.99/mo) adds 10 extractions and the AI cooking assistant. Plus ($6.99/mo) adds 50 extractions, 500 recipes, and 100 AI messages. Pro ($11.99/mo) gives you 200 extractions, unlimited recipes, and 300 AI messages/month. See all plans.
Can Pluck plan my meals and make a grocery list?
Yes. Add saved recipes (or a note like "Leftovers") to breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack on any day of the week. On Plus and Pro, Fill my week plans the empty days for you from your own recipes. Build a grocery list from a recipe and Pluck merges duplicate ingredients, adds them up and sorts them by aisle; on paid plans it builds one list from the whole week's plan. Invite up to 5 people to a list and everyone adds and ticks off items together. When it's time to cook, cook mode walks you through one step at a time with timers. The free plan covers the current week; paid plans can plan any week. How to build a meal plan from TikTok recipes.
Can I search my recipes by what's in my fridge?
Yes. Type the ingredients you have and "What can I cook?" ranks the recipes in your recipe box by what you can make now and what you're missing. It's free and unlimited on every plan. Or take a photo of your fridge or pantry and Pluck spots the ingredients for you (1 scan a month on the free plan, more on paid plans); if nothing you've saved fits, it can create a new recipe. The search runs over your own saved recipes, not a recipe database. More on cooking with what you have.
Can I bring my recipes from another app?
Yes. Pluck imports recipes exported from Paprika, Mela, Crouton and CopyMeThat, and any schema.org JSON-LD file. Go to Settings → Data → Import Recipes. Step-by-step guide to switching recipe apps.
What languages is Pluck available in?
The app comes in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Swedish, and follows your phone's language. Recipes stay in the language they were posted in; on paid plans the AI cooking assistant can translate one for you.
Does Pluck work offline?
Yes. All your saved recipes are available offline once they've been loaded. You can browse, search, and cook from your recipe box without an internet connection.
What makes Pluck different from other recipe apps?
Plenty of recipe apps now import from social media, so here is what's specific to Pluck. It reads a video's frames and on-screen text as well as the audio and caption, so recipes that are only spoken or shown on screen still come through. It turns photo carousels into one recipe and reads handwritten cards. Paid plans add an AI cooking assistant that knows the recipe and the step you're on, from $2.99/month. What it doesn't have yet: a web or desktop app, a shared recipe box for your household, or nutrition info. See how Pluck compares to other recipe apps.
Is my data private?
Yes. Pluck is GDPR and CCPA compliant. Analytics and error tracking are off by default and only enabled with your explicit consent. We never sell your data. Read our privacy policy.
