Pluck Recipe App · Account Deletion Instructions

You can delete your Pluck account and all associated data at any time from within the app. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

How to Delete Your Account

1. Open the Pluck app on your device
2. Go to Settings (tap the gear icon in the bottom navigation)
3. Tap Privacy
4. Tap Delete My Account
5. Type DELETE to confirm (for signed-in accounts)
6. Your account and all its data are deleted right away

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Profile data - display name, avatar, email address, language and grocery settings
• All recipes - including ingredients, instructions, tags, and notes
• Recipe images - all photos stored with your recipes
• AI conversations - all cooking assistant chat history
• Planning data - meal plans, grocery lists, recipe groups and cook history
• Shared grocery lists - lists you own are deleted for everyone on them, and you are removed from lists you joined
• Subscription records - your plan and purchase history, including the record our subscription provider holds (cancel the subscription itself in your app store first)
• Consent preferences - your privacy and tracking choices
• Notification settings - push notification preferences and tokens
• Usage records - any usage tracking data
• Authentication record - your sign-in credentials and sessions

What Is Retained

The following is kept after deletion, with nothing linking it to you:

• Consent audit log entries - timestamps and details of your consent changes are kept with your user ID removed (set to null), as required by GDPR for demonstrating lawful data processing
• Shared recipe links - links you created keep working, because other people may have saved them. They contain no information about you. Email us a link to have it taken down.
• Shared recipe cache - recipes extracted from public links, and corrections you contributed to them
• Items on other people's grocery lists - items you added to a list someone else owns stay on it, without your name
• Device usage counters - monthly extraction and pantry scan counts tied to a random device ID, never to your account

Deletion Timeline

Your data is deleted from our database and file storage as soon as you confirm, and in every case within 72 hours. At the same time we ask our analytics, error tracking and subscription providers (PostHog, Sentry and RevenueCat) to delete the data they hold about you. Copies can remain in encrypted database backups until those are overwritten.

Guest Accounts

If you are using Pluck as a guest (without signing in with Google or Apple), you can still delete your account using the same steps above. Guest accounts that are inactive for 30 days are also automatically deleted along with all associated data.
